She is a little Queen of Spades

And her men will not let her be

Says, she's the little Queen of Spades

And her men will not let her be

Ev'ry time she makes a spread
Hoo, fair brown, cold chills run all over me

I'm gonna get me a gamblin' woman

If it's the last thing that I do

Gonna get me a gamblin' woman

If it's the last thing that I do

Man don't need a woman
Hoo, fair brown, that he got to give all of his money to

Everybody said, you got a mojo

'Coz baby you've been using that stuff

Everybody said, she got a mojo

Baby, you've been using that stuff

She got a way of trimmin' down
Hoo, fair brown, and I mean it's most too tough

Little girl, since I am the King

Baby, and you is a Queen

Little girl, since I am the King

Baby, and you is a Queen

Let's us put our heads together
Hoo, fair brown, then we make our money green

festeja hoje setenta risonhas translações solares o senhor clapton.

a cabeça no meu ombro - e assim entramos
duma vez e inteiramente na nossa vida.
Lá fora, pelo contrário, tudo perde realidade;

as árvores - numa tela baça.

intervalo do mapa rente à primeira manhã -

Brave words can be spoken
But bones will still be broken

We're heading out to cloud cuckoo land
Waiting like virginal lambs
Face are armoured in the varner
I've seen you dreaming of a beautiful life
Where people are equal and nice
And it makes me take my heart in my hand
To question your foolish demands

‘Cos brave words can be spoken
But bones will still be broken

You see yourselves as soldiers
With flowers in your holsters
Will all this wishful thinking
Save your ship from sinking

Now it's bed time up on cloud cuckoo land
And the faint hearts are dreaming of plans
Patiently waiting for the spark to ignite
With the promise of making things right
But your actions must speed
So they travel in light
So don't think with me
On your fantasy flight

Your brave words will be spoken
As shall bones are being broken

Ajustei minha cabeleira longa,
coloquei-lhe ao de cima meu

chapéu de coco em fibra sintética,

sacudi a densa poeira das asas encardidas

e, dependurada a lira a tiracolo,

saio para a rua

em grande uniforme de poeta.

Tremei guardas-marinhas,

alferes do activo em

situação de disponibilidade:

meu ridículo hoje suplanta

o vosso e nele se enleia e perturba

o suspiro longo das meninas

romântico-calculistas.

gostei especialmente de reencontrar "frame by frame"

Frame by frame (suddenly)
Death by drowning (from within)
In your own, in your own analysis

Step by step (suddenly)
Doubt by numbers (from within)
In your own, in your own analysis

herberto helder

(1930 - 2015 …(…

coisas tão estranhas…
foi precisamente há dois anos que,
tendo-se abeirado da minha árida parede branca,
ele ali escreveu isto

fábula  de  um  beijo  teu

um beijo teu transporta-me àquele areal tão escondido em mim

Early this mornin', when you knocked upon my door

And I said, "Hello, Satan, I believe it's time to go"
Me and the Devil, were walkin' side by side

I'm goin' to beat my woman, until I get satisfied

She say you don't see why, that I will dog her 'round

Now, baby, you know you ain't doin' me right, now

She say you don't see why, that I will dog her 'round

It must be that old evil spirit, so deep down in the ground

You may bury my body down by the highway side

I don't care where you bury my body when I'm dead and gone

You may bury my body down by the highway side

So my old evil spirit can take the Greyhound bus and ride

maravilhar-te as insónias
com o paciente crepúsculo da idade
acordar fora do corpo esquecer o olhar

mas hoje só quero dizer: um dia feliz, pai (i love my dad).

when i was young my father taught me not to gloat
if i came home too proud of myself i’d get wrestled to the floor and choked
but i forgive him for that
he was an 8th grade drop-out and i was bein’ a brat
i forgive him i do
i know that he loves me and he knows i love him too

when i was young my father told me to each his own
the lady said as she kissed the cow some like the fiddle some like the trombone
and i live by that rule
your trip is your trip and my trip is my trip too
yeah, i'll mind my own business
i’ll have an o’doul’s and my friend here will have a guiness

i love my dad

your kid goes to the private berkeley school with one black kid
my kid goes to the public school came home with cracked ribs
and when my kid's 18
he'll be out there like i was and probably chasing his dreams
and when your kid's 22
he'll have an internship at a law firm and hey that's okay too

when i was 5 i came home from kindergarten crying cause they sat me
next to an albino my dad said son everyone's different, you gotta love em all equally
and then my dad sat me down
he said you gotta love all people pink red black or brown
and then just after dinner he played me
the album they only come out at night by edgar winter

when i was young my dad taught me the beauty of patience
we'd go and hang with his friend billy brislin all day in his steubenville basement
we'd watch wrestling matches on tv and billy couldn't move cause he was handicapped
and i learned to shoot the shit and how to care for those in need and how to show respect

when i was a kid my dad brought home a guitar he got from sears
i took lessons from the neighbor lady but it wasn't going anywhere
he went and got me a good teacher
and in no time at all i was getting better
i can play just fine
i still practice a lot but not as much as nels cline

when i was young my dad told me to pay gossip no mind
when people talk bad on you you gotta flick it off your shoulder like a fly
learn to pick your punches
don't get in no tussles or no dead end ditches
life is short young man
get out there and make the best of it while you can

i ain't trying to say my dad was some kind of a perfect saint
when something set him off i’d hit the floor quicker than what mike tyson did to ricky spain
i’d hit the floor so fast
but that was so long ago and we both moved past
my life is pretty good
and i owe it to him my dad did the best he could

i love you dad
