no final dos anos sessenta, os recém-formados fleetwood mac eram um grupo de rhythm&blues. 
com peter green e a, já definitiva, secção rítmica (mick fleetwood e john macvie – 
cujos apelidos deram o nome à banda) que vinha dos bluesbreakers de john mayall, 
escreveram alguns bons azuis. este é um deles.

em todas as sessões de estúdio para o registo de um disco, há sempre vários takes gravados para a mesma canção. 
quando os fleetwood mac gravaram "rumours" em 1976 e em boa hora decidiram incluir "you make loving fun" (a minha canção preferida), durante quase trinta anos a versão A) foi o único take conhecido.
no entanto, já neste milénio surgiram vários outtakes de canções desse album. no caso desta canção, a versão alternativa tem mais tempo, mais guitarra e mais voz de miss nicks nos coros - e acreditem que hoje em dia já quase gosto mais desta versão B)...
