há quem considere esta uma das maiores baladas rock de todos os tempos. lembro-me deste disco e do que significavam para nós estes supergrupos dos anos setenta. entretanto passaram quarenta anos, but... still it turns me on.

Do you want to be an angel,
Do you want to be a star,
Do you want to play some magic on my guitar?
Do you want to be a poet,
Do you want to be my string?
You could be anything.
Do you want to be the lover of another
Undercover? You could even be the man on the moon.

Do you want to be the player,
Do you want to be the string?
Let me just tell you something,
It just don't mean a thing.
You see it really doesn't matter
when you're buried in disguise
by the dark glass on your eyes,
though your flesh has crystalised;
Still .... you turn me on.

Do you want to be the pillow where I lay my head,
Do you want to be the feathers lying in my bed?
Do you want to be a colour cover magazine;
create a scene.
Every day a little sadder,
A little madder,
Someone get me a ladder.

Do you want to be the singer,
Do you want to be the song?
Let me tell you something
you just couldn't be more wrong.
You see I really have to tell you
that it all gets so intense.
From my experience
It just doesn't seem to make sense,
Still .... you turn me on

Happiness
More or less
It's just a change in me
Something in my liberty
Oh, my, my

Happiness
Coming and going
I watch you look at me
Watch my fever growing
I know just where I am

But how many corners do I have to turn?
How many times do I have to learn
All the love I have is in my mind?

But I'm a lucky man
With fire in my hands

Happiness
Something in my own place
I'm stood here naked
Smiling, I feel no disgrace
With who I am

Happiness
Coming and going
I watch you look at me
Watch my fever growing
I know just who I am

But how many corners do I have to turn?
How many times do I have to learn
All the love I have is in my mind?

I hope you understand
I hope you understand
I gotta love that'll never die

he had white horses
and ladies by the score
all dressed in satin
and waiting by the door

ooooh, what a lucky man he was

white lace and feathers
they made up his bed
a gold covered mattress
on which he was laid

ooooh, what a lucky man he was

he went to fight wars
for his country and his king
of his honor and his glory
the people would sing

ooooh, what a lucky man he was

a bullet had found him
his blood ran as he cried
no money could save him
so he laid down and he died

ooooh, what a lucky man he was
