esta canção apareceu no album a solo de bryan ferry de 1976, logo depois da primeira extinção dos roxy music, e continua a ser um dos grandes momentos nos concertos ao vivo. do clip dos anos setenta perdeu-se jerry hall (que aliás só aparece mesmo no fim), mas quase quatro décadas depois ganharam-se mais miúdas giras em palco.

uma das minhas recordações mais antigas é a de ver os meus pais a dançar enquanto o giradiscos tocava esta canção.

que me lembre, não eram de todo inferiores a ginger & fred.
mais tarde, quando comecei a entender inglês, lembro-me de não perceber muito bem por que razão lhe entrava fumo para os olhos.
muitos anos depois, uma vez vi o senhor ferry a cantar isto ao vivo - mas só me vinha à memória a imagem dos meus pais a rodopiar ao som dos platters...
