escrito por pärt no final da década de setenta, continua a ser um dos melhores exemplos do que se veio depois a chamar minimalismo. esta é a minha versão preferida (para piano e violino), embora haja transcrições para outros instrumentos. e é também a banda sonora ideal para este filme, literalmente "on the road", mostrando uma viagem pela market street de são francisco no começo do século xx.
