Whenever life gets you down, Mrs. Brown
And things seem hard or tough
And people are stupid, obnoxious or daft
And you feel that you've had quite eno-o-o-o-o-ough

Just remember that you're standing on a planet that's evolving
And revolving at nine hundred miles an hour
That's orbiting at nineteen miles a second, so it's reckoned
A sun that is the source of all our power
The sun, and you and me, and all the stars that we can see
Are moving at a million miles a day
In an outer spiral arm, at forty thousand miles an hour
Of the galaxy we call the Milky Way

Our galaxy itself contains a hundred billion stars
It's a hundred thousand light-years side to side
It bulges in the middle sixteen thousand light-years thick
But out by us it's just three thousand light-years wide
We're thirty thousand light-years from Galactic Central Point
We go 'round every two hundred million years
And our galaxy is only one of millions of billions
In this amazing and expanding universe

The universe itself keeps on expanding and expanding
In all of the directions it can whiz
As fast as it can go, at the speed of light, you know
Twelve million miles a minute and that's the fastest speed there is
So remember when you're feeling very small and insecure
How amazingly unlikely is your birth
And pray that there's intelligent life somewhere up in space
'Cause there's bugger all down here on Earth

a reler as cinco cartas que me foste endereçando
na semana que perdemos: tu no Alentejo,
eu debaixo de água. Fui depois regar as rosas
que deixaste no quintal. Sempre só e sem
carpir o meu estado (porque não me fazes falta),
e comecei a preparar o teu prato preferido.
e estou neste momento a recortar a tua imagem

fábula  do  fim  do  ódio

Everyday, everyday I think of you
And I hope, pretty mama, you think of poor me too

You make me weep, baby, you make me moan over you
You just ain't no good at all, for that's the way you do

You's a good looking woman, but you're hell down in your face
You just lay there all night long, you ain't no good to the human race

I don't want you to put no sugar in my morning tea
Stick your finger in the cup, baby, and you know that's sweet enough for me

Well I'm leaving here mama, I swear I can't take you
'Cause there's nothing now baby, a monkey woman like you can do

este passatempo é dedicado a "crimson and clover".

Ah Now I don't hardly know her
But I think I could love her
Crimson and clover

Ah Well if she come walkin' over
Now I been waitin' to show her
Crimson and clover
Over and over

Yeah My mind's such a sweet thing
I wanna do everything
What a beautiful feeling
Crimson and clover
Over and over

Crimson and clover, over and over

que terminou com toda a gente a cantar over and over

When the little bluebird
Who has never said a word
Starts to sing Spring
When the little bluebell
At the bottom of the dell
Starts to ring Ding dong Ding dong
When the little blue clerk
In the middle of his work
Starts a tune to the moon up above
It is nature that is all
Simply telling us to fall in love

And that's why birds do it, bees do it
Even educated fleas do it
Let's do it, let's fall in love

In Spain the best upper sets do it
Lithuanians and Letts do it
Let's do it, let's fall in love

The Dutch in old Amsterdam do it
Not to mention the Finns
Folks in Siam do it
Think of Siamese twins

Some Argentines, without means do it
People say in Boston even deans do it
Let's do it, let's fall in love

Romantic sponges they say do it
Oysters down in Oyster Bay do it
Let's do it, let's fall in love

Cold Cape Cod clams, 'gainst their wish, do it
Even lazy jellyfish do it
Let's do it, let's fall in love

Electric eels, I might add, do it
Though it shocks 'em I know
Why ask if shad do it
Waiter, bring me shadroe

In shallow shoals, English soles do it
Goldfish in the privacy of bowls do it
Let's do it, let's fall in love

I've heard that lizards and frogs do it
Layin' on a rock
They say that roosters do it

With a doodle and cock
When the little bluebird
Who has never said a word
starts to sing Spring spring spring
When the little bluebell
At the bottom of the dell
Starts to ring Ding ding ding
When the little blue clerk
In the middle of his work
Starts a tune

The most refined lady bugs do it
When a gentleman calls
Moths in your rugs they do it
What's the use of moth balls

The chimpanzees in the zoos do it,
Some courageous kangaroos do it
Let's do it, let's fall in love

I'm sure sometimes on the sly you do it
Maybe even you and I might do it
Let's do it, let's fall in love

Não é o coração
mas esta carne
em seu rumor.

Não é o coração
mas teu silêncio
de intenso furor.

Não é o coração
mas as mãos
sem corpo, vazias.
Na grave melodia
de um instante
tu e eu
em desequilíbrio
na infame
consistência
de um absoluto
obstáculo.

“Lost in the desert, the interior designer quickly went insane”

Roger McGough

Hey Lady, you got the love I need,
May Be, more than enough.
Oh, Darlin', Darlin', Darlin', walk a while with me,
Oh, you got so much, so much, so much.

Many have I loved, and many times been bitten,
many times I've gazed along the open road.
Many times I've lied and many times I've listened,
many times I've wondered how much there is to know.

Many dreams come true and some have silver linings
I live for my dream and a pocketful of gold.
Mellow is the man who knows what he's been missin',
many many men can't see my open road.

Many is a word that only leaves you guessin',
Guessin' 'bout a thing you really ought to know.
You really ought to know.
I really ought to know.
